adobe.photoshop.windows Google Group is the #7 Blogger for Adobe Photoshop
Illustrator has no tools for saving a file for the web in vector format (other than SVG, which I don't recommend getting into). You save as GIF, JPG, or PNG, just as you would for Photoshop, and vectors are rasterized in all these formats.
